My addiction to fancy, delicious-smelling candles started out innocently. I was working at Lucky Magazine and my best friend who worked in the beauty department would slip me one from time to time. My usage was recreational. Fast forward five years and I can’t walk into my apartment without lighting up. My new current favorite: Diptiyque Ambre. It’s spicy and woodsy and smells exactly like how a winter home should.
…oooh, careful with that candle-overload. My sister once managed to make her coffee table burst from the heat, by placing too many lit candles on it. Which not only ruined her carpet (and the table, obviously), but also left her legs burned in several places by hot wax.
I know, not the point of this post, and the table in the pic is wood, not glass, but it immediately came to my mind

I love candle’s and know they can be dangerous, but I am VERY careful with them. they can be very romantic!

Haha I feel your pain! I am TOTALLY addicted to yummy candles and always, always have one or more burning at home. They make the house smell great and feel really calm as well!

I’ve recently gotten into candles myself. So far, my favorite is Sandalwood Vanilla by Bath & Body Works. Makes the entire condo smell fantastic.
