There’s nothing like a beautiful wedding on a perfect spring day to make you believe in love again. The groom was giddy with possibly the goofiest smile plastered on his face and the bride was extraordinarily radiant.
I was there with the love of my life, my Brian Atwood polka dot shoes, which I am close to retiring (and the real love of my life, my best friend Vivian). My Jill Stuart dress was a little too sweet but I toughened it up with an armful of Alexis Bittar bangles, cuffs, and my favorite one-of-a-kind Samantha House bracelet. And of course, my oversized pony hair LAI clutch.
We danced all night, almost missed the ferry home, and shared a bottle of champagne with a fellow wedding go-er who also had to sprint for the boat. We talked about how nice it’s going to be in twenty years when we can say we were present at our dear friends’ wedding. And how, hopefully, by then no one will remember that the only kiss I got that night was from a moose!*
p dot s, as you can see, I forgot my camera so my iphone had to make due.
