I’ve always loved linzertortes for their buttery flavor, tart fruit filing, and heart-shaped sweetness. This was the first time that I’ve attempted to make them myself, using this recipe I found out they aren’t as easy as they look. I broke about half of the cookies while trying to assemble them! Thankfully, I also made the peanut butter chocolate squares that I first made here. Word to the wise, when putting them together, as in life, handle the hearts with care.
