At the bend in the road where we turned toward

Sunday nights have always been family night. In California it’s with my aunts, uncles, and cousins; in New York it’s with my best friends. This weekend we made peach cobbler courtesy of 19 Charles Street, cuddled on the couch, and watched an amazing episode of True Blood.

3-6 ripe peaches

4-5 basil leaves

1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick cold butter cut into pieces
1/2 tsp vanilla
Sprinkle of cinnamon

Chop up the peaches and chiffonade the basil. Toss together.

Crumble together the next 6 ingredients with your fingers.

In a nonstick baking dish, top the peaches with the crumble. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Enjoy with ice cream and a drizzle of honey!

  1. Weird, I just made one tonight and thought of the Sunday night dinner you made an amazing peach cobbler! I think it was Barefoot Contessa. You started my obsession for cobblers that night! They are so simple to make and always loved by guests. Also super easy to adjust to seasonal fruit and dietary restrictions…I made it for clients: vegan, gluten free and no refined sugar for clients. I hope all is well Laney! xoxo
