When I pick up the small $12 bags of kale chips at my local health food store I always promptly put them down. I refuse to buy anything that’s marked up two thousand-million percent (besides for movie theater popcorn). But, when I saw huge, $2 bunches of kale at the Farmer’s Market this summer I got inspired. I followed this recipe and added a little parmesan cheese in place of the salt. They were a huge hit at my family’s Sunday dinner– as my dad said, “they’re good and good for you!”

Thanks for sharing this recipe. I’ve been wanted to try kale chips for some time now.
Tiffany, you have to try! They are so delicious and easy. And healthy!
I’m SUCH a huge fan of kale, and I love the idea of being able to turn it into snack food! These look delish – trying tonight! xo
Um, how have YOU not tried kale chips. They’re so good I almost feel guilty eating them!
I should be eating stuff like this instead of my huge sugar cookie I just bought… feeling guilty!!
Life is about balance:)
My kale looks different then these. Mine is more curley. But it is good for me.
I love the idea of adding parmesan instead of salt… definitely need to try this recipe!
I can’t do dairy but do you think they’d taste good with nutritional yeast?
You definitely don’t have to put anything aside from sea salt if you don’t want– they’re great plain! Let me know how it goes!
