My Bánh Mì

Liver pate, fried eggs, and soy sauce? Count me in. I adapted the recipe slightly since some of the authentic Vietnamese ingredients weren’t mini-West-Village market friendly, but regardless, the end result is a fantastic combination of french and asian flavors.

Bánh Mì (adapted from this recipe)

Ingredients

1 french baguette (soft centered crumb, crispy crust)
Vietnamese cold cuts or other meat filling such as Braised Pork Belly
Fried Egg
Sliced carrots and cucumber.
Fresh cilantro
Soy sauce
Pork liver pate
Mayonnaise
Thin slices of chili pepper

Slice baguettes lengthwise. Add the ingredients that you want to the bánh mì .

Enjoy!
