The Equipment Challenge

packing

While packing for a L.A./SF work trip this morning, I came up with a little challenge for myself. To see if I can survive for 9 days away with just 5 Equipment shirts (my love of these tops have been documented here and here) and one pair of jeans. Kinda stupid, yes, but a challenge none the less. I’m thinking that at best, it will be Tonne Goodman-esque uniform moment and at worst, people will think I lost my luggage. Either way there is a ton of room in my bag for all the shopping I’m planning on doing in my spare time.

P.s. When my driver arrived to pick me up he asked me where my luggage was, that’s how small my bag was.

  1. I don’t think it’s stupid at all. I’m sure you’ll be just fine and like you said – plenty of space for the inevitable purchases you’ll make! In my experience, when you “overpack” you don’t end up wearing half of the stuff anyway and don’t have room any new purchases. Look forward to hearing the results of your challenge!

  2. I love this, and I’m totally doing it on my upcoming trip to Athens. I’ll be there for four days…the stuff I carry always ends up being the bane of my existence – not to mention the fact that I never, ever wear everything. Thanks for this.

  3. I don’t believe this for a minute! 🙂 Shopping while there for clothes to wera on said trip is cheating!

  4. Love the blog. Whenever I travel I try to pack light. U gave me some ideas. Love the Tom Ford eyeglass case, I just purchased the same one at Burlington for $5!!!
