Where to go in Paris…

blog

Even though I was there for work, I got to spend some time in my favorite Parisian spots before I left on Saturday. I lived there when I was in middle school and to be honest, not much has changed. The Jardin des Tuileries are always a must to just walk around, read a book by a fountain, or take a ride on the ferris wheel. Just across the Seine in St. Germaine is Café de Flore where I had breakfast (aka a loaf of the most delicious bread). Around the corner is Assouline, the most fabulous book store where I could spend hours upon hours. Of course I stopped by La Durée for some macaroons, and then for lunch I met some friends at a new spot, La Société, which is owned by The Hotel Costes so you can imagine how cool it is. I did a little shopping at Isabel Marant, Iro, and Vanessa Bruno. Ice cream at Berthillon on Ile St. Louis was nonnegotiable. We also stopped by Little Black Dress exhibit which was helpful in justifying my shopping.  During the week we ate at Ferdi for cheeseburgers, Fauchon for a lunch, and Monsieur Bleu at the Palais de Tokyo for possibly the hippest dinner scene that ever was. If you can get a reservation, you can’t not go, and then afterwards hang in the lounge surrounded by painfully chic french girls. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but exactly what I needed.

  1. This looks awesome Laney! I’m going in 2 weeks & was wondering what kind of purse you carries. Everyone keeps telling me to be beware of pickpockets and I want to be able to walk around carrying as little as possible (still need a bag that fits camera, sunglasses etc).
