I see London, I see France

London is one of the places that I didn’t get, until recently that is. Everyone talks about how is such a great town but my experiences there has been limited and uninformed. I was able to go for work this past spring and feel in love (mainly because I had a great guide), and couldn’t have been more excited to go back again this month. To top it off, I ended this recent trip with a couple days in Paris. Below are all the spots I visited this trip. They are not to be missed if you find yourself in London or Paris.

Stay: Dean Street Townhouse or The London Edition

Eat: Grab tea at sketch, get green juice and smoothies at The Juice Well, munch on a super fresh salads and raw chocolate at Raw Press, eat dinner at 76 Dean Street, The Colony Grill Room, or The Arts Club.

Shop: I don’t shop a ton in London because things are quite expensive, but I do love the selection at Fenwicks in Mayfair and Joseph in Notting Hill. And it’s a must to to pick up a notebook at Smythson, of course.

Stay: I found Hôtel Tamise, a new hotel near the Tulleries, which I think is absolute perfection. Tiny rooms, but sweetly decorated and brand new.

Eat: Steal a moment in Hôtel Costes‘ courtyard for coffee or breakfast, get a modern and utterly delicious falafel sandwich at Miznon, have a Parisian dinner at Chez Julien, get ice cream at Berthillon on Ile Saint-Louis.

Shop: My favorite places to shop in Paris change every time I go. This time I loved walking on Rue Saint Honoré and admiring the fancy things, ducking into Isabel Marant on the left bank (and then getting a Ladurée macaroon after), and discovering Merci, a big 3 level townhouse filled with treasures.
