Black and white all over

Sunday afternoon, after reluctantly peeling myself away from the second season of Orange is the New Black, my boyfriend and I went outside for the first time that day, eventually settling in at my neighborhood margarita and guacamole spot. Located at the intersection of Soho, Greenwich and the West Village, it might be one of the best places to people watch (i.e, Alexander Wang and his entourage walked by). Two baskets of chips later, I deduced that the new city uniform consists exclusively of head-to-toe black and white (outfits like this and this). My sidewalk research showed that for the look to be fresh and modern, it’s all about minimal layering and great accessories.

A stream of white went down the runways yesterday (especially at underwhelming Wang). But, it was when contrasted with black that these looks really caught my eye. It looked like March of the Penguins 2 at Lacoste, Jill Stuart, and Adam, and I was seriously diggin’ it.

Not to mention the Happy Feet at Prabal and Ohne. Love. Need. Now.
