{ Joie dress, Nine West boots, charm necklaces, Dannijo bracelet }

5 girls, 2 cakes, and 1 house in the Berkshires turned out to be the perfect equation for a cozy, relaxing weekend. I brought items intended for comfort and cooking, like this mumu-esqe dress, my favorite flat boots, and little make-up. Because, there really is no time to be uncomfortable when you’re spending hours upon hours catching up with your best friends.

{Gifted Joie sweater, Eryn Brinie skirt, Zara belt, gifted Nine West boots, DKNY tights, Cartier clutch}

I’ve been skeptical of this shoulder pad trend– I was a swimmer most of my life and don’t really need anything extra in that department. But, when this Joie sweater arrived last week, shoulder pads and all, it was too pretty to ignore. As it turns out, shoulder enhancing is being done differently this time around: less out, more up, and not at all as big. I wore the sweater this weekend to dinner in San Francisco to a new-ish spot called Prospect (Note: I recommend the fois gras and The Whaler cocktail made with egg whites) and I paired it with my favorite black skirt that you’ve seen here, a vintage Cartier handbag, and views of the bay.

P dot s, tune back in tomorrow for an exciting {beauty} giveaway…
